Amazon enters generative AI race with Bedrock

Amazon announced that it will release in preview form a cloud service called Bedrock, which allows users of its subsidiary Amazon Web Services (AWS) to improve the performance of software using large-scale language models (LLMs).

In addition, Amazon’s move this time is that it supports various LLMs, which supports not only Bedrock but also Titan and Text.

Amazon did not mention the parameters of the Titan model or the data used to train it, however, and has not yet disclosed the cost of the Bedrock service.

As Amazon enters the generative AI race, competition for cloud services is expected to intensify as competitors Microsoft and Google have already announced generative AI products.
